Peppermint Bark

Cathy brought in white chocolate peppermint bark today. She was wonderful to share with us. It was great. She is talking that next time she will make sure to put some crushed peppermints on the back side as well. Thanks Cathy!

Holiday Chocolates!!!!

Usually this time of year I am elbow deep in chocolate. I like to make lots of goodies for those I care about. However, this year I am in the middle of a move. I have to get some truffles made for a gift, but do not know if I will have the time to get much else done. Last year I made homemade marshmallows and dipped them in chocolate. I made plain, peppermint swirl and orange swirl. I dipped the peppermint and plain in milk chocolate. The orange were dipped in dark chocolate (for Cathy). Everyone loved them and raved over them. Here's to hoping I get to make some this year.

Strawberry Hot Fudge Malt

This past weekend I had a strawberry hot fudge malt at Culver's. It was DELICIOUS! If you like this combination I would make sure you try this flavor of malt. :)

Confession #3

The other night a co-worker and I went to The Melting Pot for dinner. The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant that I enjoy. I don't go often because of the expense. However, I LOVE their chocolate fondues and how they flambe them table side. Yummm!

Confession #2

Who ever thought to combine the ingredients of chocolate and cheese? I tried some chocolate cheese a few years back at Michigan State University about 10 or so years ago. It was one of the worse things I have ever had in my life. Maybe, they have improved on it over the years, but I am not brave enough to try it again.

Confession #1

I do not like the chocolate orange combination. I have a co-worker who loves the combination. This weekend she made a chocolate orange fudge and brought some in for us to try. The texture, etc. was good, however the chocolate orange combination just doesn't do it for me!

Crafty!

One of the things I enjoy doing is making crafty type things. A few years ago I taught myself to make "raggy quilts". I love them and made this one for myself with a "hidden" picture in the design. Can you see it?

Welcome!

This is my first time creating a personal blog. It was simple. My co-workers helped me come up with the title. I am called the ChocolateQueen due to my passion for chocolate. I have over a 115 cookbooks devoted to the topic of chocolate. All of my delicacies are homemade. The things I make include but are not limited to hand rolled & dipped truffles, chocolate dipped peppermint marshmallows, chocolate covered strawberries, etc.
